Tonner Toy Fair 2018 Updates!

News from Toy Fair is starting to trickle in...

Thus far, Tonner has posted two videos on Instagram showing the Blue Evening Gown with the sword in the back and the Amazon Training Wonder Woman.



The Gala gown blue dress is a stand alone fashion retailing for $109 and nearly ready to ship. It will come with blue shoes (which I love...even though she actually wears her boots in the movie). In the video he says that it comes with the sword too...which I find hard to believe due to the price...bu maybe this is a plastic sword?  I don't know...if it does come with the sword then it is a pretty good deal indeed.



He also shared a video of the Amazon Training Armor which looks AMAZING and extremely accurate to the film. It looks like the bodice is done using the same molded technique as the original armor. Her hair is in the great fishtail braid. This is a dressed doll retailing for $210. I'm excited for her.

Combing through comments, it seems they have plans for a more "basic" WW doll based on her Justice League look. Also, accessory packs with shoes and extra hands. There is a Wonder Woman on display wearing the black cloak too and based on comments, the cloak will either be sold on its own, or come with a re-issued version of Wonder Woman in the armor.

More dolls from the Justice League are coming too.  Weee....

Well, surprise it's another twin. People on W Club seemed mostly jazzed.  I was like....hmmm. Not sure. It feels like a whole lot of lazy rehash.  That dress seems like a variation on a dress from Luxe Life Eugenia and the jacket is the same one we got on Karolin at Live from Fashion Week (which (I sold off) The hair color is almost identical to the recent Violaine doll (whom I ADORE).  But I do love the mint dress (it has pocketssss!) and shoes quite a bit.  I am not loving the hairstyle at all and would definitely be removing the Snooki pouf hair . I love fantasy hair...but wish it weren't so similar to Violaine.  I've been wanting a minty haired doll...and maybe this one would be a perfect re-root candidate.  So I am still a little undecided.  Someone also pointed out that her stock number (82120A) could possibly indicate a corresponding Lilith version (82120B?) is coming our way (possibly for Dolly days?). Which sort of panic scares me into ordering her...hmmm.

Paris Doll Convention News

The Paris Doll Convention was this past weekend. Pictures can be seen here courtesy of the fantabulous Gerda! There was a gorgeous Raven hair Ellowyne with cute bangs and a ponytail and smokey eye makeup called Paris Blue limited to 250. The Sybarite event doll for the Saturday evening banquet was a bright red wigged doll with hot pink eye makeup and a gold and pink evening gown called Epocholypse. There was also a Raven version in a black and silver gown limited to 20 available via a special drawing. Both have lovely face paint and the wigs are in a cute haute heidi braid look. The dresses are nice..but i am not a big fan of Superdoll's gowns. I love their unique sportswear looks more. I am the same with Tonner gowns as well. Some lucky ducks walked away with the new Sybarite Fashion Victim dolls. I am very jealous as these look FABULOUS. I so want that mohawk pink wig one.... IT Dolly Days East 59th La Femme Godiva Collection with New Characters!

  Well another gorgeous set of dolls from designer Christ Stoeckel. He and Mark Tinkey are definitely favs at the moment. The clothing here is lovely and highly detailed. We are getting two new characters which seem to be using some older sculpts.  I like them and I don't mind some stylization...but they do seem a touch out of step with the screening on Evelyn which seems more realistic.  I tried for Cora in the lottery and lost out.  I am hoping to jump on the wait list and maybe get lucky though. I am a big Mugler fan and this fashion on Cora is definitely a reference to a Mugler look as well as to Jerry Hall's locks (also a Mugler model). I missed out on preordering the rest of the ladies from the dealers.  I would really like to get Evelyn's outfit at some point.  I will be patient.
