Final Jem Gift Set and W Club Exclusive Studio Playset. Farewell Jem... (or is it really Farewell?)

Well by the time the link for the public goes live tomorrow, these might already be history. Allegedly this is the end of the line. The email, however, hints that there might be more surprises in store. Many collectors are hoping for another issue of Aja, Shana, and Roxy..even if they are nude or baggy dolls. We shall see. I'm sad to see the line end, but frankly I don't have space for the dolls that I already have. I am also really enjoying making the fashions from the show on my own.

This final set is pretty nice.  This is not an outfit that I would have tackled on my own and the results from Integrity are pretty wonderful.  The detail is excellent and the swapped sculpts on Jem and Jerrica is a great bonus. Plus, look at Jem's AMAZING shoes! All in all, it is a decent value for the set (two dolls for $175) and with a smaller edition size of 400 pieces, it is likely to sell out.  I am still surprised that we did not get at least a cardboard cutout Synergy console. I have the materials all ready to make my own...but I still hold out some hope that we will get one last surprise.

W Club members are also able to order the exclusive Studio Playset replicating KJem Radio Station and LinZ's tv studio. Jem fans that did not join the club this year must really be kicking themselves. The set looks really swell and also features the starstruck guitar and some fun furniture pieces. It is a pricey $85 and I am really undecided. I want some of the pieces but have no room to display the set. I'd love the guitars and stand plus the furniture...but are those things really worth $85?  Oye.  I might just pass for now and tempt fate that if I change my mind later, I can take over someone's order or buy the things that I want piecemeal.

W Club Exclusive Doll "Mademoiselle Eden" from Nu Face...

Well, surprise it's another twin. People on W Club seemed mostly jazzed.  I was like....hmmm. Not sure. It feels like a whole lot of lazy rehash.  That dress seems like a variation on a dress from Luxe Life Eugenia and the jacket is the same one we got on Karolin at Live from Fashion Week (which (I sold off) The hair color is almost identical to the recent Violaine doll (whom I ADORE).  But I do love the mint dress (it has pocketssss!) and shoes quite a bit.  I am not loving the hairstyle at all and would definitely be removing the Snooki pouf hair . I love fantasy hair...but wish it weren't so similar to Violaine.  I've been wanting a minty haired doll...and maybe this one would be a perfect re-root candidate.  So I am still a little undecided.  Someone also pointed out that her stock number (82120A) could possibly indicate a corresponding Lilith version (82120B?) is coming our way (possibly for Dolly days?). Which sort of panic scares me into ordering her...hmmm.

Paris Doll Convention News

The Paris Doll Convention was this past weekend. Pictures can be seen here courtesy of the fantabulous Gerda! There was a gorgeous Raven hair Ellowyne with cute bangs and a ponytail and smokey eye makeup called Paris Blue limited to 250. The Sybarite event doll for the Saturday evening banquet was a bright red wigged doll with hot pink eye makeup and a gold and pink evening gown called Epocholypse. There was also a Raven version in a black and silver gown limited to 20 available via a special drawing. Both have lovely face paint and the wigs are in a cute haute heidi braid look. The dresses are nice..but i am not a big fan of Superdoll's gowns. I love their unique sportswear looks more. I am the same with Tonner gowns as well. Some lucky ducks walked away with the new Sybarite Fashion Victim dolls. I am very jealous as these look FABULOUS. I so want that mohawk pink wig one.... IT Dolly Days East 59th La Femme Godiva Collection with New Characters!

  Well another gorgeous set of dolls from designer Christ Stoeckel. He and Mark Tinkey are definitely favs at the moment. The clothing here is lovely and highly detailed. We are getting two new characters which seem to be using some older sculpts.  I like them and I don't mind some stylization...but they do seem a touch out of step with the screening on Evelyn which seems more realistic.  I tried for Cora in the lottery and lost out.  I am hoping to jump on the wait list and maybe get lucky though. I am a big Mugler fan and this fashion on Cora is definitely a reference to a Mugler look as well as to Jerry Hall's locks (also a Mugler model). I missed out on preordering the rest of the ladies from the dealers.  I would really like to get Evelyn's outfit at some point.  I will be patient.
