Wedding Season...

Tis' that time of year.  I am currently working on a dress for an adorable little bride.  Here is the design I drew.  I just fit the basic bodice last week and now I am moving onto the more complex draping of the dress.  So i will take that basic bodice and cut it out in the actual foundation flatlining that will later be a part of the dress.  Fun times.

Day 4: Tonner Convention Wrap up!

Still so tired.  Ugh. Dreamcastle Dolls has a fantastic roundup of all the convention dolls offered... So the Sunday morning had me getting up at an ungodly hour to check out of my hotel.  I misread the schedule and thought that the vendor room would be open at 7:30 but when I got there, it was only the Tonner sales room open in the morning.  grumble...which meant I had an hour to talk myself into buying more stuff.  So I got the last of the Theodora Bennett dolls in the salesroom to go with the awesome Phin I won in the raffle.  I also picked up Clockwork Hypothesis just because.  Also a 13" Black Canary.  I am uber sad that I missed the Andromeda doll.  I would have loved to steal her outfit for Wonder Woman.  I hope it comes to a virtual factory sale at some point or I can get the outfit loose. I also went ahead and got another 16" Wonder Woman.  I wanted another gal with the beefy arms and I might use her to do a modern Diana.  And I like the sculpt.  I figure I c

2012 Tonner Con Day 3: Wonder Woman, Birds, and Raffle!

My first event of the day was Amazonia.  I made a whole outfit for it...photos to come later.  The centerpiece was a killer 22" American Model.  I bought her.  She is fabulous.  The event doll was the same outfit on the 16" heroic body.  Both dolls came with two sets of hands.  I was also pleased to know that the Nu Mood hands do work on the Heroic body.  I think I will be getting another 16 Wonder Woman tomorrow to use for a Modern Wonder Woman.  This is a new sculpt as well called "Diana".  I do love the old one so very much...but this new one is nice too.  She looks a lot like Linda Carter actually.  I was slightly bummed that they did the same outfit on both dolls....but they are cool.  Now to get the other Wonder Woman American Model.  Must save pennies. Flights of Fancy Dinner....lots of over the top and colorful bird themed dolls on antoinette bodies.  Daphne/Toucan, Antoinette/Cardinal and Parrot, Duchess/Peacock, and Precarious (aka Suzette)/Raven.

Tonner Convention 2012 Day One & Two

Tired!  So tired! Anyway, we are halfway through the fun.  Thursday Night featured some pretty adorable flight attendants dolls, Shelly, Kay, and Captain Paul which featured the supergirl sculpt, a new sculpt (Kay), and what will be the new Matt sculpt.  I was tempted...but must save all pennies for Wonder Woman tomorrow.  The souvenir was a basic "Judy" doll using the Glinda sculpt on the new Starlet body (which I guess is tyler on top and hippier on the bottom...).  Our volunteer thank you gift was a supercool Nu Mood doll that I think is the Kit sculpt?  I was excited since I have not been able to nab one of these yet.  I was able to get the hands and feet from Gigi's Dolls in the vendor salesroom. The Tonner Salesroom had some good steals as always.  I tried to be good, but could not resist two Cami and Jon outfits that were absurdly cheap (Sag Harbor and Play on Words) as well as a City Sleek outfit for my Mom's Miss Revlon doll for her birthday.  Of course
